Alexey Zoob
Contemporary Paintings for Private Spaces and Collections
Trained in classical art education, the artist works at the intersection of realistic drawing and expressive figurative painting. A strong linear structure forms the foundation of each work, while elements of grotesque, emotional tension, and lyricism introduce a distinctive visual language.

A defining influence on his artistic development was the encounter with 15th-century Italian and Dutch painting at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Since then, his practice has evolved through a dialogue between Renaissance traditions and post-impressionist freedom, resulting in a poetic and often subtly ironic interpretation of lived experience.

His paintings function as visual narratives, where realism coexists with intentional naivety and emotional openness. Through figurative imagery, the artist constructs a personal yet universal world, inviting the viewer into stories shaped by memory, symbolism, and carefully balanced composition.
